Chewy came to us when his owner could no longer care for him (no fault of his). At first, Chewy can be scared of new people but with a patience, structure, and love his true sweet self will show. An adult only home would be best for Chewy. Thanks to the love and patience of his foster home, he’s really blossomed into a loving little boy. Chewy’s learning the ropes, but he has shown he’s eager to embrace the good life!
A few things Chewy loves:
Treats and his food
Snuggling with his favorite humans on the couch under the blanket.
Chewy would be fine being the only dog or in a home with a female dog. He is good with cats. He’s crate trained and is getting the hang of leash walking. Chewy is doing good with eliminating outside but he is still learning so mistakes could happen. He’s looking for a quiet forever home that can continue his training and provide him with the security and love he deserves.
A fenced-in yard would be a big plus for Chewy, giving him a safe space to play and explore. He’s come so far already and just needs the right family to help him continue his journey.
If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly, and playful little companion, Chewy is ready to meet you and share a lifetime of love.
Chewy is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm preventative, and is microchipped.

Remmy is a lovable "energizer bunny" who was never given the space to truly be a dog. After surviving a situation of extreme confinement, she was kept in a crate 20hrs a day, she is now blossoming in her foster home. She has become a vital part of her foster pack, showing us every day just how much she loves playing and being part of a group. She is a Dudley lab which means she lacks black pigment, it's a recessive gene from a chocolate lab. She is pure bred.
The "exact right home" for Remmy is one that understands her never-ending "lab energy." Because she was denied movement for so long, she requires a home with a fully fenced yard where she can finally let out her zoomies. She is an incredibly social, energetic girl who would thrive with another canine companion to help wear her out. Remmy has spent enough of her life in the dark; she is ready for a sanctuary that celebrates her spirit and keeps her right in the middle of the action. Someone that is home and won't put her in a crate is what we want for her. She also loves water.

Meet beautiful Daisy, sister to Duke. These two pups are being returned to RTR after 4 years since being adopted as puppies. The family is growing and both dogs are nervous around the young toddler. Although there have been no bite incidents, the previous adopters are afraid that the children will overwhelm the dogs as they grow and become more active.
Daisy is 48lbs and loves to go on walks. She is a smart and energetic dog. She takes a bit of time to warm up to new people and would thrive in a calm environment. Daisy also does well with calmer dogs.
Duke weighs in at 60lbs and is fun loving with a big personality. He too is smart, high energy, and affectionate. He is a great companion and is good with people. Duke would prefer the company of a female dog, and he would thrive in a home that provides plenty of mental stimulation and exercise.
Both dogs are house and crate trained, although they no longer need to use a crate and have free roam of the house. They are also both spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and have updated heartworm and tick-borne disease tests.
The pups are not bonded and can be adopted separately or together. Their adoption fee is $300 each or $500 together.
